Time

Its been said that time waits on no man, true saying as a matter of fact, so that's why I value time so much, seeing that we've about 70 yrs on this here planet and the fact that there is no such thing as time travel, well once wasted, its pretty hard to regain time. Where am I going with all this...ok. So I've got this running buddy we agree to meet up and jog in Central Park, problem is...she can NEVER seem to make it there on TIME! Now this isn't something that has happened once or twice...I'll give anyone a break. But 5,6,7 oh my God- now you're killing me! Late for our meets, late for some races, I think she is just doomed to be late! Wasting your own time is fine, but I find it absolutely disrespectful to waste the time of others, seeing that one doesn't and cannot ever get it back. Those minutes of aimless waiting in the Park have added up to about 2hrs by now... 2hrs, a good movie, knitting a scarf hell just doing whatever. Forever gone - up in smoke and nothing to show for it! The next time you think of wasting anyone else's time, and that'd be with idle chatter or just friggin' well being late all the damned time, just remember, you've a limited amount and the hour glass is always running! That's my gripe for today.

Time

It was once said that Time waits on no man, so that's why I value time. And seeing as we've approx an average of about 70yrs max on this planet....I really don't like to waste time, that's why it is a valuable as gold. Unlike gold...once time is lost it really NEVER can be gained back again. So I've got this running buddy of mine and we always schedule our meeting in Central Park to hit the asphalt and run...small problem, she can NEVER seem to make it-yup you guessed it- on TIME! Ok the first time you slide, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th and this is after I've gone off on the run WITHOUT you...left you behind...still she shows up late. Poor soul, its always that the trains are late or out of commission, or the folks held her up at work or.......whatever. Fact is, when we plan to meet, I literally plan my day from the am to adjust for an on-time meeting and just wish the other party would or could do the same. I just think that it is so direspectful of people to constantly abuse their time. It is almost akin to stealing - shit, forget that - it is stealing....those countless minutes I can never reagain...just standing out in Central Park looking around! You've stole valuable time off my life....who knows what I could've done with those minutes! So to all you draggers and theives of time, I say just respect the other party and realize you've really got a limited amount of it!!! That's my gripe for the day!

Hurricane Tour

Looks like nothing much happening, hurricane Ivan just ended his tour of the Caribbean and clipped the Gulf area yesterday, leaving behind destruction and making places look as if they were made of nothing more that match sticks! Learned today that Kryptonite locks ain't worth shit, damn and to think with all the technology and drama that went into building a lock, all that was undermined in like 5 secs with a cheap ass bic ballpoint pen...just goes to show, ya never know!

On knowledge

I was watching that kinda schloky movie "The Order" last nite and one good quote came out of it and that was "Knowledge is the enemy of Faith" I nearly leapt out of bed, nothing so true! With every bit of knowledge one gains, one's faith wanes a little. I guess that's why it is important for the the organized Church and Religion in general to keep the masses as minutely informed as possible, i.e. South America, once you've got them uninformed and in essence uneducated, well you've pretty much got them - for life. People its all about mind control and the herd mentality. That's my bit of wisdom for today.

Diet Kingdom

So here is my final judgement on why it is hard as hell to lose weight in America and keep it off. The US is the kingdom of commercialization and consumerism...buy buy buy more more more, more variety more choices...ever go to a Starbucks..enough frou frou drinks to sink a fleet of ships. More people more types of food-Malaysian, Haitian, Indian, Spanish blah blah blah and that's in NY so let the eatin' games begin....not to mention that if you bow out of the great and awsome feast you're regarded as some type of freak. Eat eat eat then diet diet diet, South Beach, Atkins, Pritkin blah blah blah Trim Spa, CortiSlim and should I go on. Yes we spent billions on trying to lose this yellow mass called FAT. I had a thought today and I thought that its our jobs that're making us fat too. No one knows better that me, stress up.....haul in the junk and chocolate biscuits! Yippee! What we as humans really need to be is free, free to walk and just exist, after all isn't a job and all the aquisitions that come with it just distractions until we die anyway??! Just be free to walk and be, not confined to some dumb desk pushing paper and shuffling shit around! We need to be out biking and running and walking and whatever, but not stuck at some shitty desk listening to the demands of bosses and dumb needy clients!
Yes that thought dawned on me as I walked through Times Square, as the herd of people rushed by in the rain looking a mess. What are we doing just waxing and waning through life and a sometimes miserable existance.
Now my take on why the Gap is trying to fool us and make us fat. I'm now like a size 6-8 but have always found that I need 2 sizes smaller to fit any pants at that store, thus giving us a false sense of what is really going on, so beware the sizes at the Gap! They decieve women all over!
